Chocolate Fondue

8 oz. cream (1/2 pint)
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Place about an inch of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Once it boils, lower the heat and leave it at simmer. Place a glass bowl over the saucepan (making sure it doesn't touch the water) to create a double boiler. Put chocolate and cream in bowl and stir until melted. You can add more or less cream depending on the preferred thickness. Transfer to a fondue pot, keep warm, and enjoy.

--NOTE: Sometimes I will throw in a few tablespoons of caramel ice cream topping, or sweetened condensed milk just to give it a richer flavor.

Dunkables:
* strawberries, washed and hulled
* pears, washed and chunked
* angel food cake chunks
* pretzels (we like the pretzel rods broken in thirds)
* large marshmallows (try the toasted coconut covered ones)
* pineapple chunks
We just had this last Sunday when my parents came for dinner. It is a fun, easy dessert, especially for a smaller crowd. If you don't have a fondue pot, no problem, just follow the directions and dip from a bowl. If the fondue thickens too much, just warm it slowly.

Chocolate foundue is sooo good! I like adding a little Frangelico to mine, it is so good that way!

Oh this brings back fond memories of my days at varsity - we always had fondue on Sunday nights.
