Midnight Madness Bars
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2 squares semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1 can caramel pecan frosting
1 c. sugar
5 T. milk
1/3 c. milk
1 c. chocolate chips
Cream brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Mix well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Divide dough into two parts. Stir melted chocolate into half of dough. Drop dough by large tablespoon randomly into prepared pan. Place evenly on greased 9 X 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 17 to 22 minutes. Let cool. Spread caramel pecan frosting over bars. Freeze bars for about 30 minutes. In small saucepan, combine sugar, 5 T. butter, and milk. Let boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour over bars. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cut into bars and keep refrigerated.
