2/3 c. melted butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. corn syrup
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. English toffee bits
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, egg, vanilla, and salt. Add raisins, chopped nuts, English toffee bits, and oats. Mix well and press in a well-greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Spread topping on cookies while still warm. Melt chocolate chips in microwave, stirring and watching carefully. Spread on top of caramel.
7 oz. (approximately 25) Kraft caramels
2 T. cream
Melt caramels with cream in microwave. Stir and watch very carefully so caramels don't burn.
