Cornflake No-Bake Cookies

1 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
7 c. corn flakes

In medium sized heavy sauce pan, combine sugar and syrup. Bring barely to a boil, remove from heat, and whip in peanut butter. In large bowl, alternately layer in corn flakes and peanut butter mixture. Toss lightly with long wooden spoon. Using fingers, pinch off two or three inch cookies and place onto wax paper. Let cool.
