Corn Bread

1 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
2 TBS. sugar
4 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. oil
1 egg, slightly beaten

Heat oven to 425. Grease 8 or 9 inch square pan. In medium bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Stir in remaining ingredients beating by hand just until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
