Cookie Salad

1 large package vanilla instant pudding
9-12 oz. container Cool Whip
1 c. buttermilk (1 cup milk with 1 TBS. lemon juice)
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 large can pineapple tidbits, drained
3 ripe bananas, sliced
1 package E.L. Fudge striped cookies, broken into small pieces

Mix pudding with Cool Whip and milk. Add oranges, pineapple, bananas. Add cookies just before serving to prevent them from getting soft.
