Company Beef Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 T. catsup
¼ c. chopped green pepper
5 oz. elbow macaroni
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 T. shortening
2 C. canned tomatoes
1 T. steak sauce
2 T. chopped parsley
¾ c. grated cheese

Brown beef in shortening, add onion, tomatoes, catsup, steak sauce, peppers and parsley. Simmer 30 minutes. Cook macaroni. Combine all ingredients in baking dish, season to taste with salt and pepper. Add mushroom soup, mixing lightly, sprinkle cheese on top and bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or until brown.
