2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 3/4 c. toffee bits, divided
Sift together flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in egg until well mixed. Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and nuts. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture. Press remaining mixture into baking pan. Bake 10 minutes. Pour milk evenly over hot crust. Top with 1 1/2 cup toffee bits. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and 1/2 c. chocolate chips over top. Bake in greased 9 X 13-inch pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup toffee bits. Cool completely and cut into bars.
