Fudge Nut Bars

1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 ½ c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. uncooked oats

Fudge Filling:
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 TBS. butter
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; stir in the oats. Spread about 2/3 of oatmeal mixture in bottom or greased 9X13 pan. Cover with chocolate mixture, then dot with remainder of oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350, until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.

For fudge filling: In a saucepan mix together the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, butter and salt; stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
