Almond Cake

1 cup butter
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 cup sour cream
2 eggs, beaten

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Boil butter and water, then pour over dry ingredients. Add extract and sour cream; adding eggs last..
Bake at 375 in a 11X15 jellyroll pan for 20-25 minutes. Or in a 9X13 pan for 20 minutes.

Frosting:
1/4 cup butter
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
3-4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Milk as needed.
Spread on cooled cake.
